II International Congress of Culture in Social Transformation

The First Congress of Culture in Social Transformation, aimed to bring glances between government officials and representatives civil society as to what could be the contribution of culture to the construction of more participatory, equitable and inclusive. It also sought to show that in this matter there is experience from local and national public sphere, and from land-based social organizations articulated network throughout Latin America.
understand that the Congress led to proposing a new perspective and give visibility to social intervention strategies and public policies poorly known. The same generated much interest on how to carry out these processes and what are its results. It also allowed Latin American social organizations and states to find a space to articulate future actions in joint projects in the region.
II In this Congress we would like to respond to these concerns further expand the information about what progress has been during this time in this field on the continent. Perhaps in this sense is most remarkable is the growing linkage between the local, provincial and national organizations of civil society, networks and the private sector to transform the lives of a community, a village, a nation.
The Congress will be held at the Hotel Hermitage in the city of Mar del Plata between 17 and 19 March. With the participation of officials and representatives de la sociedad civil de Argentina, Brasil, Costa Rica, Salvador, España, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia y España.
Cinco ejes estructurarán este II Congreso de Cultura para la Transformación Social: Cultura, Prevención del Delito y Contextos de Encierro; Derechos Culturales y Juventud; Creación de Valor Común en Arte, Diálogo y Desarrollo Local; Comunicación Social a nivel local e internacional; Cultura, Economía Solidaria y Movilidad Social; Cultura para la Transformación Social, el presente y el futuro en la región.
Cada mesa contará con un referente teórico que pueda dar el marco sobre la temática e introducir a quienes ofrezcan el relato an experience in terms of development, sharing with the audience from start to finish, explaining opportunities and difficulties encountered and what and how they were drawn and a sample in situ to account for the results.
The target audience will be composed of cabinet ministers, directors of the Culture, Education, Social Development, Justice, Health and Human Rights at national, provincial and local civil society regarding organizations, foundations, representatives of cultural development-related companies, unions, international organizations and representatives of foreign states.
